Mirko Popov Quartet: Diagnoza [pmgtanzd 018] 2022

On the dancing side of things, we’re certainly looking at a 100% floor filler. You can pick any of this three and drop a bomb on the dance floor you work up at the moment. Crispy, pumping and intelligent, this track kinda brings back memories of why anyone would need to go dancing. This comes from a dj with 30 years of rich experience and he’s singing of course.
Come down to psychological issues, i’m pretty much a self diagnosed man. Won’t brag about it, but i got reasonably good at it lately, since finally diagnosing my life long disease. It’s a severe case of obsession with the city i live in. Skopje. The only problem is that i diagnosed my self too late to do anything substantial about it, apart from writing songs. This one is one of those and it is a gift to you guys. Touch me i’m sick, so what…

Andreja Salpe: Variation of Dark-Disko [pmgtanzd 017] 2021

Being an ever-hungry fanatic for new, quirky and creative ways of musical expression, Andreja Salpe marks his most productive year so far. Next in line for his label, PMG Tanz Digital is another unexpectedly tranquil, but definitely club oriented EP.

‘Variation of Dark-Disko is Andreja Salpe’s whimsical, yet completely logical sequel to “Egypt Disko” – his collaboration with Veselinov which recently dropped for Quixotical Records. Including a groovy, organic remix by Leonor and a more heavy, industrial remix by Aurum Miles, this dance floor oriented release is a welcome folder in any party lover’s collection.

Mirko Popov Quartet: Neo Nostalgia [pmgtanzd 015] 2022

You can easily take this confessions of an old dj with a pinch of salt.
Malicious bastards can shove it up my old dj ass as an obituary.
Maybe i lost my sense of community half a decade ago…
Being nearly frightened by the evergrowing distance between me and the “new crowd”…
I might be even stop noticing those beautiful girls that tend to appear nightly….
Well, after 30 years of hard core clubbing i ought to be a little nostalgic i suppose. Bordering sad even…
But i’m not going down… well not today 🙂
This beautiful #nostalgia is here for the floors of today.
So let’s go fawlks >>

VA: No:rmal [pmgtanzd 016] 2021

PMG Tanz Digital
just spent another super weird year, as anyone making club music and hoping for a normal dance floor. Trying to recall what normal dance floor means we managed to put together this small compilation, merging some music and some people who inspired our very existence as a edm label. Closing your eyes on the dance floor and going places while dancing is still a place to be for us and hopefully will prevail in the next year. Yep, let’s hope for a more NO:RMAL 2022. PMGTD wishes you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

BarumBarum: We Are Skopje [pmgtanzd 014] 2021

We are from Skopje (Nie Sme od Skopje) is a local city anthem, with almost two decades of being alive and well in clubs and concerts. It is an ongoing cycle of a song which managed to posess the harts and minds of Skopje’s youth. Written by PMGTD head honcho Mirko Popov it lived up to around 30 remixes, versions and visions of it. Some of those were club and radio hits, some remain undiscovered jwels till this day.
In the recent revival of thee song, we got several new remixes, out of which BarumBarum version is the one standing out. Some people will tell you that it is their most complete song so far and they might be just right. Clear cut minimal production that can crossover dark disco, house, electro and techno dj sets, cleverly vocalised and very much contemporary. A step forward in building of BarumBarum’s unique sound ambition. Definitely the one for the floor

Mirko Popov Quartet: Neboder [pmgtanzd 013] 2021

Pioneering Macedonian electronic dance scene in the early 90s and spending a life time djing around the country and Europe, Mirko Popov is one of the rare few originals you can find this days. It’s been three vibrant decades of pushing the dance floor for him, as well as countless productions to rock clubs with. PMG Kolektiv and Kanton6 are his two best known musical incarnations. Mirko Popov Quartet is a brand new installment, especially designed for a maximum dance floor impact, but still quite melodic and even almost keeping his slightly out of tune trade mark vocal. Devoted to play it live, his music is a compact sublimation of his epic experience in clubs and of course, the incredibly eclectic musical background.

Neboder is a bit Blue Mondayish and a proper club tune, pushing all the right buttons so you can lose yourself on the dance floor, as well as get high as a kite. There are plenty of different remixes to choose from, if you fancy vocal or not. There is even a Marko Nastic elegant electro-break, if you’re in to that big name game.
Being an intelligent dj, you can drop Neboder practically anywhere, even at peak time. You can even preform hands in the air thingey if you want to. Give it a try and remember: there’s plenty where this came from.

Robotek: Brejkeri [pmgtanzd 012] 2021

Robotek’s odd train of sonic thought hurries on full steam ahead, not bothering to commit itself to any genre of club music, expressing its strangeness through industrial grade intensity, trippy meltdowns and a very, very unusual atmosphere. The listener is slightly tricked into thinking that the sounds are falling apart of each other, but instead, Robotek has done an unusual treatment of the track’s structure, using weird triplet synths, multiple layers of drums and atypical breaks. The pioneer of the Macedonian electronic scene surprises us with this unique idea of how Skopje’s dancefloor should sound.

Both Andreja Salpe’s extraordinary quality of sound and remarkably high productivity make him an unprecedented occurrence on the Macedonian electronic music scene. It seems that creating steady, robust grooves and contrasting them with a whole spectrum of cleverly and playfully arranged sounds is, at this moment, both Andreja Salpe’s strongest suit and favourite game. Using only a select few ‘typical Robotek’ elements, he straightens out the original’s fractured chaos into his own steady, albeit whimsical ride. In both its steadiness and playfulness, this remix is a modern and brilliant take on the quirky nature of ‘Brejkeri’.

Polski: Sakam Strogi Misli [pmgtanzd 011] 2021

Electronic musician and Artist, who through understanding and exploring the brain and the human consciousness creates music and art which serve to the level of that understanding and forever will preserve and provoke that awareness reached. Like a code, or something geometric maybe.
Improving the perspective for the sound which through time evolved up until now, and shaped the tools for creating music to shine the contemporary awareness for the sound, where the previous symbolic and more metaphoric view fell apart and finally the perspective is present where you are aware and understand that which your speakers in front of you produce, so through resonating the air resonate your being to.

Kanton6: Monarhia [pmgtanzd 010] 2021

Well, we all know that there are mythological creatures running around, causing all sorts of havoc and mayhem. Here you have Kanton6 again and they’re as bad as they get. Messengers of an ancient fucking GOD called Makedon as well as masters of the dance floor Universe of their own. And that is a real place, trust me. It can be yours too. Just check out Kanton6 and allow yourself to be sucked into a wild wild continuum, based on decades of on authentic dance culture experience.
A smash.
