PMG Kolektiv: Greatest Hits [pmgrec 205] 2022

We basically released this on double vinyl and it’s still there, if you around Macedonia look for us we might spare a copy. Anyway, this is the downloading version and you’re welcome to GET IT NOW!!! Thank you 🙂
PMG Kolektiv is our in house band, but also one of the leading and most influential bands in Macedonia’s 21st century. When the do not sabotage themselves, they make hits. They’ve done so much great stuff no one likes, but when they score it is a score. And here you have all them hits by this, let’s say band of brothers. It’s electronic, it’s indie, it’s dark disko, it’s alternative, it’s musical, it’s vocally, it’s smart… well it’s heartbreaking… BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU CAN DANCE TO IT. All the way. So go for it! Oh, and we giving it cheap 🙂 Happy New Year. We love you all.

Lufthansa: Davor [pmgrec 203] 2022

This is an incredible new album by Lufthansa. They’re so fucking young, but they carry all the life’s burden good and bad, as well as the whole rock’n’roll music history along with it. It’s all on their shoulders. Lufthansa quickly became the leading band of the new Skopje generation, which just exploded in our faces with their awesome youth energy and freshness and an unexpected niceness. There are six of them and they all have bright ideas and they can play different every day. This sounds surprisingly mature for 22 year olds, but you have to be somehow mature to cope with today and even be good into it. And they’re good boys. You should get this and you should listen to it and you should love it. There’s no other way.

Lufthansa are:
Rade Bikovski: bass guitar
Viktor Stojanovski: drums
Luka Jovanovski: guitar, vocals
Andrej Dimovski: guitar, vocals
Ivo Nikolovski: guitar, vocal, synths
Martin Dzorlev: guitar, vocal, sax

Mixed by Rade Bikovski
Mastering by Ivica Jankulovski
Recorded/produced by Alen Hadzi-Stefanov
Recorded at Kino Frosina, MKC Skopje

Marija Kaeva: Fortuna [pmgrec 196] 2021

This is a perfect case for a modern Macedonian electro pop. And it is no surprise that Marija Kaeva is to blame. She scattered some pop songs and collaborations in the last 2 decades, leaving us occasionally, but full of promise. Frankly, it’s not that easy to make real quality pop music, since that notion is severely misunderstood and frequently abused. But this is a joyful event, rich with substance and authenticity, almost perfect for your deeply trained “pop” pair of ears 🙂 The other part of the “blame” lays with maestro Vladan Drobicki, probably the most productive all around musician in Macedonia at the moment. This two clicked beautifully and broth to our attention one of the best releases this year by far. “Fortuna” is the revelation of pop music behind the original PMG recordings idea for an ideal living. Go for it.

Music composed by Vladan Drobicki\Marija Kaeva,

Pri Roda: Miteinander Verbunden [pmgrec 195] 2021

Here you some new music from our old friends. This likeable lot used to release albums on this label decade ago under different name(s) and here they are now calling themselves Pri Roda (macedonian game of words, meaning nature or close kin). Well maybe the name is different and there’s a lot of german words into the affair (quite unexpected:))), but the music stays where it always belonged. Emotional and warm indie pop, or indie rock, however you take it. As ever, reminds a lot to an authentic rockandroll sound of Skopje (Macedonia, ours and theirs hometown) in the 60s, 00s, as an ever loving sonic tradition we somehow preserve it here. An honest offering to consistency and changes at the same time. If you’re into this kind of music, this one can easily cut it for you.

Nikola Kuzmanovski: bass/solo guitar, keyboards, vocals
Sasho Mitrevski: bass/solo guitar, vocals
Ognen Mangarovski: keyboards
David Gorgiev: drums
Ivica Jankulovski: samples, Keyboards, recording, production
Alex Plant: Mein Schhartz remix

Recorded at Alsar Strudio, Skopje, may 2021

Mihajlo Dojcinoski: Galaksija [pmgrec 193] 2021

So here’s someone new 🙂 This is an absolute debut.
Well, you know kids… they tend to grow up. A generation fertilized on trap, gaming and fake 80s nostalgia is upon us. Here comes Mihajlo Dojcinoski. After few years fucking around in his bedroom, dreaming of becoming a dj etc… he finally arrives with his own decent production and that’s the least we can say for this boy, since we’re aware of the amount of work he put into this. It is the right mixture between dreaming of the past, dreaming about the future and a proper working ethics ladies and gentlemen. This does need and deserve your full support.

Written, produced, mixed and mastered by Mihajlo Dojcinoski in his bedroom
Cover design: Violeta Kachakova

PMG Kolektiv: Fraternité [pmgrec 190] 2021

Kind people know that PMG Kolektiv is not really a band. It is a community. A creative space for daring people. Friends hanging around for 30 years now, taking care of each other, making music and whatever they find challenging. Their 9th L.P. Fraternité is a warm and bold statement right in the face of global clear and present danger. Unusually quiet and almost soft and fuzzy, this album is a musical elevation and a rather adventurous change in their sound. PMGK are developing their own take on contemporary pop. A bit of a Trap/Hip Hop here, a bit of jazzy schlager there and of course their trade mark new wavy electronica, but polished to the point of slow ecstasy.
Fraternité marks a special point in this band’s existence. Maturity’s written all over. The music, the lyrics, the production. Finally 🙂
You gotta love this. I mean if you have at least one honest bone in you body you will.
