Galatheia

Galatheia is very talented and quite smart little lady from Skopje. Young.
Stands accused of predatory musical elegance.
A musical promise in the making.
More to follow.
Indeed.

Muhamed Ibrahimi

Muhamed Ibrahimi is a string multi-instrumentalist from Skopje. He treats his guitar (mandolin, saz, etc.) in a very unconventional way, quite intuitive and inspirational. His compositions are an authentic mixture of several musical styles, as blues, rock or ambient, but deeply rooted in oriental (sufi) tradition and albanian (balkan) folklore. This brave and elegant combinations often deliver unexpected results in the middle of an unique and beautiful soundscape. Exceptionally impressive to see/hear him live.

Marija Kaeva

Marija Kaeva – vocal

With a successful pop career in the past, gets inspired by the Macedonian new wave, resurrecting in alternative pop fashion around 2008. With obvious singing-songwriting talent, she’s collaborating with some of the finest modern-day Macedonian producers with stunning musical results, recognized by the domestic audience. Not afraid to take the necessary steps – equaling hard work in the studio and performing live, makes her one of the hottest prospects on the label and the scene.

She is also a radio presenter.

Robotek

Goran Atanasovski – Robotek

If we talk about authentic, modern Macedonian electronic music, we talk about ROBOTEK. He is definitely the one who is most advanced, both in a technical and spiritual use of the machines wich create sound. His musical development is an obvious logical progression, beginning with the obscure Atari/Amiga sound experiments circa 1996; early warp influenced protoelectro stuff around 1998; the trip in deep techno and house territory at the turn of the century and finally new wave electro, disco punk, minimal madness and of course sweet pop songs. He is part of PMG RECORDINGS since its beginnings, contributing tracks for their first compilations of modern Macedonian electronic music in 1999. Since than he becomes regular on the scene, playing live and djing in Skopje, Macedonia and Europe.

Also working as a studio sound designer, doing music for films and commercials and of course djing.

Aleksandar Pejovski

Aleksandar Pejovski is a leading macedonian contemporary (classical) composer. His incredible tallent, brilliance and exceptional quality exceed far beyond this political and spiritual borders. His music reveals deeper and extensive understanding of today’s sonic, aesthetic and practical trends, as well as possessing quite cunning political edge.

Pejovski writes symphony, chamber, choir, electronic, big band (jazz) music.

His works have been performed in Macedonia, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Japan, USA.

He also writes music for film, short film, theater and commercials.

Kanton 6

Mirko Popov
Sinisha Evtimov

Kanton6 is rapidly changing, but it’s NOT recommended to you. It’s just too challenging, so you better stick to your “keep it simple”-left wing indie band, or saturday night dancing miserere. Being heralds of Makedon and breathing Thee Chill Folk, they master 40.000 years of advantage, so keeping up is an elegant but certain fiasco. Thee interaction with thee heralds is not worth the risk. Fresh and open wounds are not cool. But food is cool. Food and drink. And rest. Lots of rest. So don’t you trouble your little heads with heestory/religion. Leave Thee Infinite Beat to thee professionals.
And give us your drugs to us, you won’t be needing them where you’re heading.

The John is a materialisation of Ljupa Angelov sublime musical talent. His wide range of influences, composing ability and stunning multiinstrumentalism, leads to some of the greatest musical peaces in modern macedonian music.
